Healthy Snack Recipe: Tuna Egg Sandwich

Studying for long hours can induce fatigue and hunger. These may be the cause of our lack of concentration while preparing for the upcoming exam. Snacks are the best energizers, right? But due to our busy schedule, chips and sweets are go-to snacks which admittedly are delicious but not healthy. 

It may seem hard to have a snack that is both delicious and healthy. Don't worry, I got you.  I'm sharing with you the recipe of one of my favorite food which I eat during breakfast, lunch, snack, or dinner (just any meal of the day) which is very easy to make and takes so little time. Just thank me later as you ditched eating those unhealthy snacks. So let's get started!

Tuna Egg Sandwich


Note: The portion of the ingredients may depend on your taste preference.

1. Sautè

Heat the pan and add cooking oil. When the pan is hot enough, put the garlic. As the garlic turns brown, add the onion and wait until it caramelizes.

2. Add the tuna

Drain the oil of the tuna (leave small amount) and add it to the pan. Wait for it to be cooked. You may also make the tuna flakes smaller but crushing it using a wooden spoon (or spatula or anything you're using).

3. Add the egg

Pour the beaten egg with salt in the pan. Do not touch it for few seconds so the egg will be cooked and not be mixed with the liquid. Then, stir it to mix together. For additional taste, add a pinch of salt. Then, turn of the heat.

4. Toast the wheat bread

This is optional and you may skip it if you want so. You may also slice the bread into two triangles for aesthetic purposes 😂.

5. Ready the sandwich

In a plate, place the toasted bread and add the tuna egg. Voila, your tuna egg sandwich is now ready to serve.

Serving portion: 3


You may also eat this tuna egg with rice, other breads, or crackers.


This was my lunch earlier. Also, I sliced an apple and made a mug of oolong tea.



Give it a try as tuna is high in Omega 3 which is good for the heart and less in cholesterol than other source of protein.
