4 Reminders for Students amidst their Busy Schedule

As a student, most of the time you're too focused in studying or doing study-related things. While spending time working on your goal to be a great student, there must have been things you have forgotten especially about how you take care of yourself. So here are the lessons I've learnt when I was too busy studying and have neglected myself.

1. HAVE ENOUGH SLEEP

Even we would like to get those high scores and grades it is important that we sleep. After all, we're just humans. An average person needs at least 6-8 hours of sleep to function well. I'm sure you won't like to fall asleep in your class, right? Sleep is necessary for energy production which we need to function well. Besides, information that we studies are consolidated through sleep.

2. MAKE REAL FRIENDS

Although the primary reason why we go to school is to learn, we should also try to mingle with others and make friends. It is not right that we will think that our classmates are our competitors. Instead, why not help each other to strengthen each others' weaknesses. Friends will also be there when we need them, they may help us release our stress from school or just do stupid things together. After all they are the reasons why the burdens of studying is bearable.

3. TRY EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Our school life should not just focus on academics. It is great to have fun and explore through extra-curricular activities. There are clubs/organizations you can try  such as cheer-leading, debate, math club, etc. You may also try volunteering and workshops. I am actually part of the Math club since I am passionate about it and also a member of a DomNet Youth Group in our school.

4. CHEER UP

Our studies are important but there's more other than it. We must value learning than high grades. Studying itself is definitely tough but it is your attitude towards it what will make it easier or harder for you. Do fun things that will make you happy. After all, you will not remember everything you have studied after graduating but the memories you've created in your school years will remain.

Note:

School shouldn't be stressful. It should be a place where we learn, discover ourselves, trust others, and have fun. May we not forget to live a happy life even on the rocky road toward our goals. I hope that you are reminded that we still have to take care of ourselves amidst the lack of time in studying.
